EIB finances up to 50% of the project value. With its participation, it encourages others to fund investments.
One of EIB’s tools is the European Fund for Strategic Investments. It aims to bridge the big financing gap in Europe. By the end of 2018, the EIB Group had approved €70.4 billion in financing under EFSI and mobilised €375.5 billion in investment.
