More than 350 participants gathered at the 23rd National Consultation on Economy and Entrepreneurship, held from 25 to 27 April 2019 in Vodice.

Annual National Consultation represents an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and good practices, to discuss current economic challenges, and to highlight opportunities and ways of increasing competitiveness.

This year’s consultation, themed ‘Investments and Innovation for Competitive Croatia’, gathered prominent experts from this area to discuss the best ways of attracting strategic investments from the private sector, creating a stimulating environment for entrepreneurial activities, and positioning Croatia as a competitive, enterprising and innovative country.

Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Darko Horvat whose Ministry has organised this event emphasised that the primary goals are the facilitation of production investments, industry development, export-oriented economy and creative and technological innovations.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Mario Antonić observed that research, development and innovations are the best way to add value to new products and services and that the innovation policy has been given special significance in the Ministry.

Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Ana Mandac presented the new project initiated by the Ministry to promote entrepreneurship, titled “What I want – I can do.” With this Project, the Ministry aims to create a favourable environment for the establishment and development of new businesses, to contribute to the growth of successful projects and to generate an increase in the share of successful entrepreneurs.
