The Ministry of the Economy and Sustainable Development is the main coordinator of activities carried out within the Coordination Committee for Economic Adjustment and Consumer Protection in the process of replacing the Croatian kuna with the euro. The target date for the introduction of the euro as the official currency in the Republic of Croatia is 1st of January 2023.
The Coordination Committee for Economic Adjustment and Consumer Protection has drafted a document Guidelines for Economic Adjustment in the Process of Replacing the Croatian Kuna with the Euro with the aim of timely informing businessmen about the preparations to be made in the process of introducing the euro as the national currency.
The document contains detailed information on the adjustments that await business people, the time frame for the introduction of the euro and points out the challenges that may arise in the implementation of planned measures.
The guidelines have been prepared through extensive consultations with business associations and individual companies, to whom we thank for their excellent cooperation.
The document does not represent an official interpretation of legal provisions and is subject to change with the entry into force of the Act on the Introduction of the Euro as the Official Currency in the Republic of Croatia.
