At the session of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the National Plan for the Development of the Industry of the Republic of Croatia for the period from 2027 to 2034 was adopted, together with the accompanying Action Plan for the period from 2027 to 2030.
The plan established three specific objectives: a competitive and export-oriented industry, a clean industry, and a resilient and secure industry. The planned measures include modernization, digitalisation, and automation of production, increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources, investments in research and development, the development of clean technologies and the strengthening of strategic and defence industrial capacities.
Among the set targets are an increase in the share of the gross added value of the manufacturing industry in GDP from 10.6 to 12.5 percent and an increase in the share of investment in research and development in the gross added value of the manufacturing industry from 1.65 to 2.8 percent.
The action plan determines the measures, deadlines, responsible authorities, method of monitoring results and estimated implementation costs until 2030. The funds will be secured from the state budget, European Union funds and other available sources of financing.
