European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) are consortia made up of representatives of the business sector, the research community and the public sector that provide end users with services in the field of innovation and the digitalisation of products, services and business operations, as well as the development of digital skills, with a particular emphasis on advanced technologies. They are co-financed by the EU and national funds, and services for end users are generally free of charge.
EDIHs provide four categories of services, primarily to small and medium-sized enterprises but also to the public sector:
Croatia is currently home to four such hubs, each with its own technological and sectoral focus.

The hub supports companies and public institutions in developing digital health solutions, testing AI-based solutions, and training medical and professional staff. It operates nationally, with activities in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Krapinske Toplice, and is coordinated by the Ruđer Bošković Institute.
